Help! - Base Building/Defence

Any base building/defensive help you need - Just ask

Considering the amount of times I get raided and done over, I'm not sure I'm the best qualified but I'll have a go.

This is my list of priorities when it comes to defence:

1) Town Hall
2) Gold, Elixir and Dark Elixir storage.
3) Mortars.
4) Towers and cannons.
5) Air defence.
6) Mines and elixir collectors.
7) Everything else.

Don't forget that mortars can't attack anything within its red circle. So the nearer the centre of your village, the better. Once your mortars have gone, the rest will fall easier.

Walls slow attackers down more than anything so get walls to a decent level - at least the purple diamond stage (75k per section!). Level 3 wall breakers will go through walls below that level very easily.

Don't forget to buy bombs and spring traps if you can afford them - they work well, especially at lower trophy levels. Put Tesla Towers behind walls too if you can.

Pw is higher than me so probably knows better ! But couple of alternatives:

Protecting town hall is only important if you are building trophies - so I normally keep within walls but not my number 1 priority
Gold and elixir storage number 1 for me
I am rarely attacked by air so not worried about air defence - I like to keep outside walls in area where I get attacked most - giants are then drawn to it first so my archers and mortars can pound them

Can't believe the whole clan hates my village!!! It has lovely straight lines and order to it!!!! Think this game is picking on me cos it is jealous of my well ordered mind.heathens!!! Going to join a clan where everyone is called Dave and they all have villages as linear as mine !!! Ha

Dave, it's a lovely village and if I had chronic OCD I would love to have one of that layout.
